I tried this Thai Salad. It was ok, but I think I might not use the almond butter next time. I guess I am just not into the 'Peanut Sauce' taste. My husband asked me to add more honey to it and he finished it.

Ok, here is another one that looks beautiful....lol Taste like crap! I was experimenting..trying to make a lighter mushroom burger. I think I need to season more next time.

Now this is a winner!!!! Yummmm! and so simple!!! I got this one from http://www.sarah811.blogspot.com/ , only I added pecans to the bottom of my pan. You got to try it. It was a perfect time for me to see this recipe, because my Dad just gave me a huge bag of Persimmons from his tree.

If anyone is reading my blog.....sorry I haven't been posting lately. To be honest I wasn't to happy after my last post. I really didn't enjoy any of the recipes I tried. I am trying more and tweaking as I go for my own taste. I did make some taquitos I liked. I will take pictures the next time I make them and post. I promise I will be back posting after Thanksgiving. Can't wait to see Thanksgiving post. I wont have one of my own, but next year I plan on having my own raw holidays. Not ready this year.

I tried a bunch of new recipes today. You will be seeing some of those tomorrow.

What I had today:

Smoothie- pineapple/blueberry/banana/strawberry/bee pollen

A huge Salad- romaine/purple cabbage/cauliflower/left over collard greens/cashew ricotta cheese/beets (not raw:steamed)

A little Chocolate Pudding with Cranberry Oatmeal Biscotti crumbled on top

Of coarse I was snacking all day on all the new recipes I tried. You have to taste what you make right?

I started off my day with a Smoothie
pineapple/blueberry/banana/strawberry/bee pollen

Then I had a Cup-O-Collard Greens

(I have this thing for bowls and cups ? Not into plates.)

Then I had some more Almost Raw Vegan Sushi

Lastly, I had some Chocolate Pudding with crumbled Biscotti....Yum!

Today was a good raw day!

Last night I made these beautiful little babies. Talk about yum! I am going to crumble one in my Chocolate Pudding today.

YUM!!!

I decided to focus just on the raw that I eat everyday. The important thing here is that I try to make new raw recipes as often as possible, while still eating simple raw foods the way they grow.

My raw for today:
I had Raw Chocolate Pudding. I tweaked the recipe so it wasn't as rich as last time. I liked it much better. I think I will tweak it once again the next time I make it. It is still a little to sweet for my taste.

I also experimented with some Raw Corn "chips". Basically they are just fresh corn with a pinch of salt, dehydrated into a chip. They work for Salsa, but they are a bit plain. I have made them before with flax and red bell pepper as well as cumin and chile powder. I think I will do that recipe again, but leave out the Bell Pepper. Not a big fan of the bell.

So far today I have been all raw. I had:

A plum

Raw Banana Oatmeal

Carrots

Green Salad with Avacado and seeds

Didn't care for the dressing I made up. Wont do that again.

If anyone out there has a really good, simple creamy raw dressing that isn't sour, I would love to try it. Please send me the recipe.

Still full and not sure what I will have for dinner yet. Maybe just fruit or more Raw Pudding!!

Had a bad food weekend. My Dad came to visit and we made our yearly "traditional" Tamales. Hate to admit it, but I didn't pass them up. If any of you out there have a really GREAT tamale recipe that taste close as possible to the traditional ones PLEASE send it to me. I want to pass on the traditional ones next year.

Dinner- In n' Out Burger

Today I was busy cleaning my house. My Dad is coming for the weekend. My carpet was filthy. Both my husband and I had spilt tea and my dog...well she is a dog, enough said. Oh, don't get me wrong. She is house broken, it was just the usual dog dirt. Foot prints etc... Since I knew I would be busy all day cleaning (or as I like to call it, exercising) I made a lot of Strawberry w/Banana smoothie to drink all morning and some at lunch. Then I had a avocado. Dinner was cooked homemade 'mostly' vegetarian pizza.
