Taking is slow and keeping it simple......

As you can see from my blog....I have not blogged forever!! I fell off the "Raw Vegan Wagon" and have still not jumped back on. I really struggle, with understanding, how it is that I can believe in anything as much as I believe in the Raw Vegan lifestyle, and still REALLY struggle with staying raw. Maybe some of you can write me with your struggles and stories. Maybe your stories can help me get to a better place.

Since I haven't been blogging much...I have started a "Becoming Raw Vegan" facebook page. Thought I might use that as a "blog" for a while and see if I stay in touch better. Please give me your feed back about using Facebook. I would love to hear your opinions about Facebook. Also, if you are already using Facebook, please send me a friend request. You can find me on Facebook by using the "First Name": Becoming, and "Last Name": Rawvegan. You can also click on the title "FACEBOOK" above for a direct link.

I would really appreciate hearing from all of you.
Thank you

Greetings and Blessed Love Raw Vegan Sista,
I just wanted to send out some support to you and let you know that I too struggle with staying on the right raw path. My husband and I are Vegan/Raw Vegan and many times we fall off the wagon so far its almost pathetic, LOL. Dont beat yourself up about it. Just keep brushing yourself off after each fall and try it all over again. Its not about whether you fall off, its about having persistence and bouncing back! Check out my Facebook page under the name "Chanin Clarke".

Abundant Blessings

Hi, I'm going to suggest reading Dr. Doug Graham's 80/10/10 diet available through Amazon.

It really helped me stay on track.

Or you can try his website: http://www.foodnsport.com

There's also a great forum:

Good luck! I wish you the very best. :)

Life does not always move in a straight path. Start over with the foods you LOVE and build from there.

Happy and Healthy New Year!!!

I am on [off] the same boat [wagon] as you! I have been struggling with staying raw, despite how much I advocate the lifestyle. Have compassion for yourself [i tend to beat myself up when i mess up sometimes] and forgive yourself! I've also tried doing a certain percentage raw- like 80%, or less. Then slowly increase! Works like a charm, pretty soon you won't even crave stuff like ice cream. There are really good substitutes for ice cream or milk use coconut cream and almond milk, the best!

I think facebook is not good because it perpetuates the ego.

I came across your blog after googling this same question, "how to stay on the raw vegan diet". I have been a vegetarian for many years, and I am a strong advocate of the raw vegan lifestyle, but I don't practice what I preach. Not too long ago I was invited to a health food workshop, and I have found that the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle has been a great guide to staying on track. The website http://www.hacres.com/ gives you really good resources like recipes, and follow-along videos for the first 30 or 60 days. I sound like I'm making an advertisement, but this program is seriously the only thing that as helped me. I still haven't entirely stuck to the vegan lifestyle, it's so hard when my husband eats meat and all cooked food... and it's not to know I'm not alone. At least we're one step closer than the people who eat a typical American diet, that should be encouraging!

Focus on what you are doing well, it really works. Just look at Tony Robbins.

And also UNDERSTAND that the world battles against you and its about keeping people around you engaged in a lifestyle that supports them.

I really understand this dilemma...

give me or Chef Sal and message if you desire.

Having the guts to go raw vegan is really something. It is definitely one thing that I want to try because I am more of a meat person. Thank you for the inspiration, you have given me enough reason to try living the healthier life.
